Funeral services will be held 6 p.m. Thursday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for Albert L. Minor who passed away Saturday evening at his home. Albert was born May 10, 1934 in Waynesburg, PA son of the late Marion Minor and Florence Grace (Pyle) Bailey. He served in the United States Army during Korea and earned the National Defense Medal, the United Nations Service Medal and the Korean Service Medal. He retired in 2000 from Gennaros Trucking, where he had been a driver for 20 years. Albert served in the Army Reserve for 8 years, was a volunteer firefighter for Liberty Township and worked as a janitor for the Liberty School System. He was a history biff and enjoyed classic movies and classic cars. He will be sadly missed by his daughters: Shelly Richardson of Austintown, Cindy (Ron) Dressel of Youngstown and Kelly (Michael) Kraynak of Ravenna; eleven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and one great great grandson. Besides his parents a brother Charles Minor and a great grandson Brian Golec Jr. preceded him in death. The family would like to thank Hospice of the Valley and it's nurses, caretakers, social workers and clergy for their loving care and compassion. Friends may call from 5 p.m. until the time of the services at the funeral home.
