Catherine L. Pezell Villy

AUSTINTOWN-Catherine L. Villy, 79, passed away at 8:35AM Sunday, July 6, 2008 in University Hospitals of Cleveland. Catherine was born November 23, 1928 in Youngstown, the daughter of the late Sam and Anna (Berlechik) Pezell. Catherine was a graduate of Campbell Memorial High School and retired after 26 years in the surgical sterilization department of Northside Medical Center. Catherine was of the Catholic faith and a member of St. Columba Cathedral in Youngstown. Catherine is survived by two children Christina (Paul) Gabriel of Austintown and Michael Villy with whom she made her home; a sister Mildred (Edward) Stefanic of Hemet, CA; three grandchildren Michelle Lynn Villy, Danielle Gabriel, and Jason Gabriel; and a great grandchild Tristan Suber. Besides her parents, Catherine was preceded in death by a son John "Jackie" Raymond Villy and two brothers Sam and Mike Pezell. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 9, 2008 from 6 until 7 PM in the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel. At Catherine's request, there will be no funeral services. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association.
