Clyde L. Conner

Clyde L. Conner, age 79 of Mineral Ridge, Ohio, died on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Hospital after a long illness. He was born on April 26, 1935 in Cambridge, Ohio, the son of the late Clyde R. and Martha Conner. Mr. Conner enjoyed fishing, playing bingo, and dancing. He also liked to repair televisions and radios. Clyde was owner/operator of Ridge Auto Sales in Mineral Ridge for many years. Mr. Conner was an honorably discharged US Air Force Veteran serving just at the end of the Korean War. Survivors include his wife, the Vikki Conner, whom he married on October 28, 1994; five children, Raymond Conner of Wilmington, OH, Paul Conner of Cambridge, OH, Michael Thompson of Austintown, and Cindy and Nancy; 13 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; two sisters, Bernice Thompson of Johnston and Patty of Canton. Other than his parents, Clyde was preceded in death by two children, Clayton Conner, and Tina Thompson. Funeral/Military services will be held on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at 11:00 AM, where family and friends may visit one hour prior to the service at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Shafer-Winans Chapel in Cortland.
