Austintown—Services will be at noon Saturday in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church for Daniel A. Martin (Martinelli), 71 of Austintown who passed away late Tuesday evening at his home. Daniel was born August 11, 1933 in Pittsburgh, the son of Guerino and Catherine (Petrycki) Martinelli and came to this area at the age of 14. He worked as a Millwright and rigger for LTV Youngstown Sheet and Tube for 22 years from 1955 until his retirement in 1977. Daniel served in the United States Air Force, was a member of the church and was an avid hunter, fisherman, and gardener. He also loved football. Daniel leaves his wife the former Kathleen Judge whom he married September 14, 1990, seven sons; Vincent (Amy) Martinelli, Daniel Martin II, Thomas (Jennifer) Martinelli, Michael (Robin) Martinelli, Jerry Martinelli all of Austintown, John (Cheryl) Martinelli of Struthers, and Mark (Lori Martinelli of Lordstown, two step-daughters; Kimberly Gitschier and Jennifer (Jeff) Brown both of Salem, two half –brothers; Kenneth (Genevieve) Stitt of Mercer and Larry Stitt of Sharpsville, one half-sister; Catherine Dianne Timko of Freeport, PA, eighteen grand children, two step-grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Besides his parents, Daniel is preceded in death by a son; Jeffrey Martinelli, two sisters; Pauline Ferreri, and Shirley Wayland, and one brother; Guido Martinelli. Family and friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 pm Friday and again from 10:30 to 11:30 am Saturday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel.
