Daphne Ruth Kren

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM Saturday, April 1, 2017, at St. Mary Church in Mineral Ridge for Daphne R. Kren who passed away Tuesday March 21, 2017, Daphne was born June 10, 1935 in East Cleveland, the daughter of Thomas and Mary (Pryde) Pappas. She worked as a corporate receptionist for Lamson and Sessions in Beachwood for 35 years, retiring in June of 2006. Prior to Lamson and Sessions, she worked at George Worthington Co. Daphne moved from Chardon and the Cleveland area to Austintown Township in September of 2006. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Mineral Ridge and its Ladies Guild. She was a former member of St. Patrick's Church in Thompson Ohio for 19 years and its Ladies Guild. Daphne was also a former volunteer for the Red Cross and a former volunteer at Hillcrest Hospital. Her husband Frank G. Kren Sr., whom she married December 27, 1969, passed away February 2, 2000. Daphne leaves one step-son Frank G. Kren Jr. of Kingman, AZ, and one sister Joan E. Mahon of Parma Hts, Besides her parents and husband, Daphne was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert G., Thomas A. and Pete Pappas and one sister Penny Mahon.
