North Jackson- Funeral services will be 9:30 am Saturday at the First Federated Church for Dick Lehotsky who died Wednesday morning at the Hospice House after a courageous battle with cancer. Dick was born April 25, 1930 in North Jackson the son of John and Mary (Klimek) Lehotsky and was a life long area resident. Dick was owner operator of John Lehotsky & Sons retiring in 1992 after 38 years. After retirement he kept busy doing masonry work for many people. He was also in the US Army, 11th Special Forces 82nd Airborne Group, from 1950-1971. Dick was an active member of the First Federated Church serving on various boards of the church. He was one of the organizers for the North Jackson Veterans Memorial which was completed this year. He volunteered with the Salvation Army, Girl Scouts at Camp Sugarbush, Habitat for Humanity and the North Jackson Library. Dick was an active member of the North Jackson Business Association and the North Jackson Citizens Association and graduated from Jackson Milton High School. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Virginia (Pew) whom he married June 6, 1953, daughter, Robin (Alan) Langguth of Plano, IL. , son Tim (Kate) Lehotsky of Canfield, sisters; Dorothy Popa of Austintown, Ruth Lehotsky of North Jackson, brothers; Elmer of Scottsdale, AZ., William and James both of North Jackson. He is also survived by grandchildren; Lacey (Jeff) Margolis, Aaron Langguth, Christopher and Adrienne Lehotsky. Family and friends may call from 5-8 pm Friday at the First Federated Church. The family requests that Memorial Contributions take the form of donations to the Hospice House. Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
