Private services were held for Dorothy M. Kish, 87 of Stow, formerly of Austintown who passed away Saturday, January 30, in Alter Care Transitional Care of Western Reserve. Dorothy was born April 28, 1928 in Youngstown, the daughter of Harvey and Jeanette (Pendelton) Lyons. She was a resident of the Austintown area for more than 50 years until moving to Stow to be closer to her daughter, son-in-law, and grandson. Dorothy was a former member of Mahoning Valley Church and Highway Tabernacle Church for many years where she helped in the nursery and also helped in the kitchen, serving seniors and dinners. Dorothy married Frank Kish on August 15, 1955 and he passed away June 23, 2001. Dorothy leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Shelley Harcar and her husband Kenneth, one grandson John Harcar all of Stow, and one sister Betty Boozell of Grove City, PA. Besides her parents and husband, Dorothy was also preceded in death by two brothers, Harvey and James Lyons. I following Dorothy's wishes there were no calling hours and services were private.
