Canfield—Elsie Lindblad, 78, passed away on Monday, June 25, 2007, at Forum Health Northside Medical Center. Elsie was born September 13, 1928 in Coitsville, the daughter of Pasquale and Mary Elizabeth (Sack) Notareschi. She attended St. Anne’s Catholic School in Briar Hill. She was a 1947 graduate of Rayen High School. She worked in McKelvey’s Department Store in the Men’s Department while she attended school. A few years after high school she moved to Washington D.C. and was a Federal Civil Service Clerk. A few years later she moved to Japan to work for the United States Embassy. In the early 1960’s Elsie moved to California where she worked for 17 years for AARP as an Insurance Director. In 1992 she retired from the Long Beach Naval Shipyard where she worked as a Senior Purchasing Agent. Elsie enjoyed interior decorating, collecting antiques and spending time with her family. Elsie is survived by her daughter, Tammy Lindblad and her son-in-law Russell Haynes, her granddaughter, Maria Elaina (Me Me) Haynes who was the apple of her eye. She is also survived by her brothers, Reynold (Phyllis) Notareschi of Poland, Ohio; Raymond (Rosann) Notareschi of Vancouver, Washington; her sister Irene (Dick) Vinkler of Austintown, Ohio, her cousin and her best friend, Fran (Clark) Chapman of Supply, North Carolina and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Elsie was preceded in death by her father, Pasquale, Her mother, Mary Elizabeth (Sack), her sisters, Vera Ann and Ellen Rose and her brother, Richard. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery in Youngstown, Ohio at a future date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 3695 Boardman Canfield Rd. Suite 301-B Canfield, Ohio 44406
