Florence C. Furrie

Florence "Flo" C. Furrie of Vienna, OH, died on Saturday (02-07-2009) at 4:00 PM at the Odyssey Health Care in Westerville, OH. She was 80 years old. She was born in Howland, OH on July 16, 1928, a daughter of George and Lola C. Miller. "Flo" married Nicholas D. Furrie on February 23, 1946. She had been a homemaker and mother, but also had enjoyed spending time working at Hidden Oaks Golf Course. She is survived by her son Rev. Nicholas Furrie Jr. and his wife Carolyn of Vienna, OH; her daughter Lori Kennedy and her husband Robert of Columbus, OH; five grandchildren Jason, Jared, and Matthew Furrie and Nicole, and Sam Kennedy; and three great-grandchildren Paige, Cole and Bella Furrie; and her sister Dorothy Demars also survive. She was preceded in death by her husband in 2004; her son David in 1975; by two brothers Tom and Nick Miller; and by two sisters Helen Parker and Theresa Beers. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday at Lane Funeral Homes Madasz Chapel in Brookfield with Rev. Robert Karl of Sts. Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Church officiating. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 4-7:30 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Vienna Township Cemetery.
