Franklin R. Riley, 71, 7751 Venice Dr. NE Howland Twp. died at 2:35 PM Monday April 3, 2006 at St. Josephs Health Center following a lengthy illness. He was born Nov.5, 1934 in Lost Creek, WV, the son of Benjamin and Evelyn (Nutter) Riley. He was formerly employed by McCallister’s Dairy in Champion Twp., Poulson Rubber Co. in Middlefield, OH, and most recently by the Princess House Glass Works in Lost Creek from 1978 until retirement in 1998 when he returned to the Warren area. He enjoyed fishing, camping, taking walks in the park, and most of all playing with his great grandsons. Survivors include his first wife Joan Mahaffey of Howland Twp., daughter Deborah Everett and husband Dave and son Clarence Riley and wife Sue of Howland, grandchildren Christine Everett and Jeremy Riley, great grandsons Wayne and Logan, and step-grandchildren Rick, Diana, and Andrew Francis all of Howland. He also leaves 5 sisters Pauline Riley, Jane Quinn, Blanche Asher, Joyce Jarlson, and Kay Miller all of West Virginia, brothers Ruben Riley of Florida and Kenneth Riley of West Virginia and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his second wife Myrtle Riley, a son Robert F. Riley, and 2 brothers Bill and Chester. Funeral services will be 7:00 PM Friday April 7, 2006 at Roberts-Clark Chapel where friends will be received from 5:00-7:00. Pastor James Erb will officiate. Cremation will follow.
