Harvey A (Andy) Crissman—76 Austintown—Services will be 1 PM Wednesday at Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for Harvey A (Andy) Crissman 76 of Austintown who passed away Saturday morning in Austinwoods Rehabilitation Center. Harvey was born February 24,1927 in Dayton PA. the son of Harvey U. and Alice (Hallman) Crissman and come to this area in 1949. He worked for the Youngstown Sheet and Tube in the electrical department and then later for the Vienna Air Base in the electrical shop retiring in 1983. Harvey was a graduate of Indiana High School, Indiana PA. class of 1946 as well as a WWII Veteran of the Navy serving on the USS Helena. He was also a very active member of Trinity United Methodist Church where he was an Usher, a Teacher of Mar-Sing Sunday School Class, Past Chairman of both Council of Ministries and the Finance Committee, Past President of the Men’s Club, the Food Committee, Past chairman of the trustee’s and a trustee of the United Methodist Community Center. Harvey was also a former Boy Scout Leader at Fosterville Memorial Church and a former Manager of Austintown Little League, active from 1968 to 1972. He was very active in the Masonic Order, Past Master Youngstown Lodge #615 F & A.M., Past District Education Officer 24th District, past District Deputy Grand Master 24th District, Past Commander in-chief Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Valley of Youngstown 33rd Degree Mason, Past High Priest Youngstown Chapter # 93 R.A.M. Past Secretary of Committee of Education, Grand Lodge of Ohio, Past Patron of Miriam Chapter #278, of Youngstown. Harvey was also a member of Buechner Council #107 R. &M. Member of St. John’s Commandery #20 K.T., member of Knight of the Order of the Bath of the U.S.A. and a member of Grand College of rites of the U.S.A. Harvey leaves his wife the former Maxine Jones whom he married October 6,1950 a daughter Cheryl (Randy) Emrich of Girard, and a son Daryl (Vickie) Crissman of Las Vegas, N.V., a sister Clara (Larry) Bonnett of Lexington, N.C. Harvey is preceded in death by a sister Sylvia Sgro, and a brother Floyd Crissman. Family and friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. The family requests material tributes take the form of contributions to the church.
