Hester Virginia Cellio

Funeral services will be held 11 AM Friday at the Austintown Community Church for Hester Cellio who died Monday morning in St. Elizabeth Hospital after a long illness. Mrs. Cellio was born April 12, 1921 in North Lima the daughter of Alpheus and Lily (Price) Martin. She retired in 1983 from the Mahoning County Vocational School where she was employed in housekeeping for 11 years. She was a member of the church and a 1940 graduate of Springfield High School. Mrs. Cellio was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother; she loved flowers and gardening and loved to travel. She and her husband George celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in Cancun. Her husband George R. Cellio whom she married Nov. 27 1948, one daughter Rhonda and James Adkins of Cincinnati, one son Arnold and Charlotte Cellio of Cleveland, one sister Martha Bell of Leetonia, two grandchildren Misha McKinney of Boston and Cassy Purtell of Syracuse and three great grandchildren Robert, Reba and Mitchell Purtell survive her. Her son Frederick and a brother Raymond Martin preceded her in death. Friends may call Thursday evening from 5-8 PM at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel and one hour prior to service Friday at the church
