James A Suffolk KENT James Anthony Suffolk, 64, passed away peacefully to eternal life early on Thursday December 4, 2014 at Hillcrest Hospital, Mayfield Heights. Although he was plagued with several ailments, he never complained. For hobbies James enjoyed traveling, fishing, hunting, rock collecting, and lapidary with the Parma Lapidary Club. James was known for his warm heart, delicious Italian cooking, and his corny jokes. James was born at New Castle Hospital, Pennsylvania on December 18th, 1949 to Raymond "Buck" Russell and Michelina "Minnie" Assunta Carbone Suffolk of Lowellville. James spent his childhood in Lowellville, played Center and Left Tackle on the Lowellville High football team, graduating in 1968. James married his loving wife, Beverly Ruth Hann of Austintown, at Smith Corners United Methodist Church in Austintown on May 10th, 1975 and made their home in Kent in 1979. From their first date they knew they were made for each other. James earned a BS in Business Administration/Transportation Management degree at Youngstown State University in 1975. He served an internship at the Interstate Commerce Commission in Washington DC and then worked as warehouse supervisor at Modern Builders Supply, Youngstown. James earned a BS in Computer Science at the University of Akron in 1976 and worked as a Programmer Analyst at Canton Computer Services (Canton), Roulston & Company (Cleveland), National Data Corporation (Cleveland), Tranzact Technologies (Tallmadge), and Human Arc (Cleveland). James cared deeply for his family. He was a loving husband for his wife Beverly, a gentle and caring father for his children Rebecca (Kurt) Somogye of Bucyrus and James of Wadsworth, and a nurturing grandfather for his grandson Robert William Somogye. He was preceded in death by his brother Raymond in 2010. Friends and family may call on Sunday Dec. 7, 2014 from 5-8pm at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Austintown . Funeral Services will be held on Monday at 1pm at the funeral home, followed by Internment at Lowellville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
