There will be a memorial service Tuesday, September 22nd at noon at Lane Funeral Home, Anstrom Chapel, 8387 Tod Ave., Boardman for John T. "Jack" Gresock, 77 of Boardman who died Thursday afternoon at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Boardman Campus. John was born May 14, 1938 in Youngstown, a son of the late John and Ann Gresock and was a lifelong area resident. He graduated from Chaney High School in 1956 and went on to serve his country in the U.S. Marine Corp. He was a die maker for Compco Metal Products for 27 years, retiring in 2004. John was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Church and a former member of Argus Lodge #545 F. & A.M. He was a very active refereee in football, basketball, volleyball, swimming and track. He also enjoyed trap shooting and woodworking. John leaves his wife of 37 years, the former Mary Jane Olsen; his children, Bridgette (Dave) Brumert of Struthers, Steve (Mitzi) Gresock of Powell, Ohio, Tom Bowser of Baltimore, Maryland, Lori Riley of Orlando, Florida, Jackie (Rodney) Probasco of Lakeland, Florida, Brenda (Dave) Rieger of Cortland, John Gresock of Nevada and Christopher Gresock of Boardman. John also leaves 14 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren and his beloved dog, Zoe. Besides his parents, John Was preceded in death by a daughter, Jarine Gresock; two brothers and a sister. Friends may call on Tuesday at Lane Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at noon. In lieu of flowers the family requests material tributes take the form of donations to the Salvation Army, 1501 Glenwood Ave. Youngstown, OH 44511.
