Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, March 3rd at the Lane Funeral Home Canfield Chapel for Joseph M. Kennedy, 59, who died unexpectedly at his residence on Thursday, Feb. 3rd. He was born September 12, 1951 in Youngstown, the son of Ray and Eleanor (Ross) Kennedy, and he resided in this area all of his life. He was a 1969 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School. Joseph worked as a crib attendant in the stamping plant at General Motors in Lordstown where he'd been a loyal employee for many years. He was also a car enthusiast. Some of his other hobbies included listening to music, watching movies, and spending time with family. He especially enjoyed summer outings including car shows and trips to the fair. He was a born again believer and active member of the Bridge of Hope Church in Boardman. Joe was a kind and generous man, always ready to help anyone he could, and he'll be sadly missed by those who knew and loved him. He is survived by his mother Eleanor of Holmes County; a son, Michael; daughter-in-law Melissa; and grandson, Solomon Kennedy of Youngstown. He was preceded in death by his father. Friends may call from 10-11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
