BUMP, Lavonne "Bonnie" M. Mecca Township Lavonne "Bonnie" M. Bump, 94, passed away surrounded by her loving family at her home on February 1, 2017. Bonnie was born in Johnston Township on December 1, 1922 to George & Gertrude (Siler) Stanley. She was a 1940 graduate of Johnston High School. On October 11, 1946 she was united in marriage to Max E. Bump whom preceded her in death on March 14, 1981. Bonnie spent her career working as a cafeteria manager for the Youngstown Public Schools; retiring in 1990. She was a member of the Moose Lodge Women's Auxiliary in Cortland and a member of the Volunteer Firemen's Auxiliary in Mecca Township. She enjoyed bowling and flower gardening. She was also an award winning baker, famous for her pies. Besides her husband and parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by her brother Simeon Stanley and her sister Wilma. She is survived by her children Max Bump, Jr. and Russell (Vivian) Bump, her grandchildren Randy (Amanda) Bump, Kerri (Daniel) DeBolt, Tony (Gloria) Ellis and Suzanna (John Foster) Ellis, her great-grandchildren; Autumn, DJ, Aliana, Addeline, Adam, Tatiana, Ava and Andilyssa as well as her sister Chrissy Lewis. Private family services will be held.
