Lloyd W. "Woody" Burnette II, age 61, died Monday February 8, 2016 at St. Joseph Hospital, following a brief illness. Lloyd was born on March 22, 1954 in Uniontown, PA a son of Lloyd and Joanne (Mankins) Burnette. Woody was a 1972 graduate of Warren Western Reserve High School. He worked at RG Steel as a hot box operator for over 30 years; retiring in 2012. Woody was an avid golfer and spent countless hours with his friends and father out on the golf course. He enjoyed watching football and baseball, taking trips to the casino with his neighbor Jack Carr and spending time with his co-workers on their monthly breakfast dates. He leaves behind his loving wife of 30 years, the former Peggy Moore, whom he married on March 30, 1986. His father, Lloyd Burnette, a brother, Richard Burnette of Warren, and two sister; Kim Armistead of Warren and Tara Burnette of Connecticut, several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Woody was preceded in death by his mother and a nephew Richard Burnette Jr. Woody was proud to be able to donate his gift of sight. A celebration of Woody's life will be held at a later date. Care was entrusted to Lane family Funeral Homes, Shafer-Winans Chapel.
