Graveside services will be held 11 AM Thursday at North Jackson Cemetery for Mazie H. (Riffel) Stout, of Berlin Center, formerly of Webster Springs, WV, who passed away Sunday morning at St. Elizabeth Medical Center. Mazie was born June 12, 1935 in Webster Springs, WV, a daughter of the late Hayward and Dovie (Cochran) Riffel. She was a member of Cherry Falls Chapel in Cherry Falls, WV. Mazie enjoyed quilting, crocheting, sewing traveling, and reading her Bible, but most of all loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was also a NASCAR fan, cheering for her favorite driver Jeff Gordon. Her husband Jacob L. Stout, whom she married April 20, 1957, passed away in May 1989, and her son Michael Stout passed away in April 1979. Mazie will be missed by three daughters: Brenda Metts of Canfield, Karen Smith of Newton Falls, and Janet Workman of Berlin Center; four grandchildren: Sharon Rowbotham, Paul Metts, David Workman, and Tracy Smith and two great grandchildren: Cheyenne Rowbotham and Ava Southern; two brothers; and two sisters. Besides her parents, husband, and son, Mazie is preceded in death three brothers and two sisters. Friends may call from 4 PM until 7 PM Wednesday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel.
