Austintown—Memorial service will be held Saturday (Oct 6th) at the Lane Funeral Home-Canfield Chapel for Michael P. Karsh, age 87 of Austintown who died early Friday morning at Hospice House in Poland. Michael was born Dec. 4, 1919 in Cleveland and was the son of the late Steve and Anna (Malachowski) Karash. He retired in 1985 from American Tool and Die where he had been manager. He was a former member of the Sebring Country Club and had attended Kent State University. He had served in the U.S. Marines during WWII and was an active member of several wood carving clubs. Michael’s first wife Caroline Karash whom he married in 1942 died 1972. He is survived by his second wife Helen Karash whom he married in 1982. He is survived by a daughter Karen and (Jim) of Richmond, Vir., three sons Michael David (Debi) Karash of Canfield, John S. (Sue) Karash of Lake Milton and William Allen (Karen) Karash of Ft. Plain, N.Y. He also leaves ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife and a sister Stella Hiedinger Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-7 Saturday (Oct. 6) prior to the services.
