Norman R. Byers

MINERAL RIDGE-There will be Services at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Lane Family Funeral Homes-Austintown Chapel for Norman R. Byers, 83, who died Saturday at Vista Center at the Ridge. Norman was born September 12, 1932 in Indiana, PA, a son of David Earl and Elsie Wilkins Byers. Norman was a detailer with the Stadium Auto Group from where he retired. Norman served his country during the Korean Conflict as a member of the U.S. Army. Norman is survived by his loving sister, Shirley Jean Whitfield of Niles; his sister-in-law, Helen Byers of Lordstown; his niece and nephews, Dennis E. (Jeannie) Byers of Lordstown, Lynda (David) Fowler of Lordstown, Kenneth (Karen) Welty of Canfield, David A. (Kathy) Byers of Newton Falls and Keith Welty of Houston, TX and many gr. nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Helen Welty, Evelyn Brobst and his brother, Harry E. Byers.The family would like to thank the Vista Care Nursing Staff and Hospice of the Valley for their wonderful care and compassion. Friends may call from 10-11 a.m. on Thursday prior to the Service.
