Paul J. Cicozi, Sr.

October 29, 1933 — May 11, 2011

Paul J. Cicozi, Sr. of Austintown, passed peacefully surrounded by all of his loving family on Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. in Vibra Hospital in Boardman following a courageous battle with cancer. He was 77 years old. Paul was born on October 29, 1933 in Youngstown the son of the late Frank "Bright Eyes" and Nancy (Greco) Cicozi and was a 1950 graduate of Chaney High School. Paul retired after 30+ years as Vice President of Manufacturing with Modern Builders Supply Manufacturing Division, which later became Polaris Technologies. After retirement Paul owned and operated Millcreek Window and Door Manufacturing retiring in early 2000. Paul was of the catholic faith and was an avid gardener and enjoyed wine making. Family and friends were important to Paul so much that he held a legendary lamb roast every year at his home. Paul was married on April 30, 1955 to the former Mercedes "Cede" C. DeSiato and she preceded him in death on July 9, 2008. A loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, Paul will be deeply missed by three children and six grandchildren; Paul J. (Melissa) Cicozi, Jr. of Pittsburgh and their children Lauren E. and Anna K. Cicozi; Cyndi Cicozi-Fiscus of Austintown and her son Ryan P. Fiscus; and David F. Cicozi of Austintown and his children Dominic F. Cicozi, Michael D. Cicozi and Vanessa C. Cicozi. He is also survived by two sisters Theresa (William) Brechbill of Lower Burell, Pennsylvania and JoAnn Gori of Girard; a brother David J. (Suzanne) Cicozi of Austintown; a sister-in-law Marlene (Ralph "Pete") DePietro of Warren; many nieces and nephews and by a host of friends. Besides his parents and wife, Paul was preceded in death by a sister-in-law Delores Marstellar. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, May 15, 2011 from 2 until 5 PM in the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel, 5797 Mahoning Ave, Austintown, Ohio 44515 where the funeral service will take place at 10:00 a.m. Monday with Deacon Michael Roberts presiding. Burial with full military honors will follow in Calvary Cemetery. As a sign of condolence the family would like memorial contributions to take the form of donations to either St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to the American Diabetes Association for Juvenile Diabetes.
