Raymond H. Cornthwait

There will be funeral services 10 AM Saturday at Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for Raymond H. Cornthwait of Youngstown who passed away Wednesday morning at Northside Medical Center. Raymond was born November 14, 1920 in Sharpsville, PA a son of Grace Miller. He was a baker for Ward’s and Schwebel’s Bakery retiring in 1979. Raymond was a US Navy Veteran aboard the USS Quincy during the attack on Pearl Harbor, he enjoyed entering contests and watching sports on television. He is survived by second wife the former Rachel Neider whom he married May 26, 1973; three children: John (Sharon) Cornthwait of Roanoke, Va, William (Kathy) Cornthwait of Thornton, CO, and Delores (Elton) Kauffman of Selinsgrove, PA; one brother Ted (Donna) Miller of Sharon, PA; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by first wife Helen, two sisters, and a brother Carl Miller. Friends may call at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel from 6-8 PM Friday evening.
