Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday at the Lane Funeral Home Canfield Chapel for Samuel R. Fossesca of Canfield who passed away on Sunday at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center. Sam was born September 11, 1940 in Youngstown the son of James and Rose Marie (Ross) Fossesca. He was the owner/operator of the Western Reserve Ribbon Company and was involved with the Mahoning County 4-H group Mahoning Hunt Club. He was also a founder and board member of the Horse Park Association at the Buckeye Horse Park and was involved with the Up and Over Hunter Association. Besides his wife, the former Cheryl Huff, Sam leaves two daughters: Rose Marie (George) Forster of New Castle, PA and Melissa Fossesca of Chino Valley, Arizona. He also leaves three brothers: Louis of Austintown, James of Youngstown, and Dennis of Lake Tomahawk, Ohio. Sam also leaves two grandchildren: Anthony and Geanna Forster. Friends and family may call from 5-8 PM on Thursday, as well as 10-11 AM, one hour prior to the services on Friday at the funeral home.
