CANFIELD William Howard Palmer, 73 of Camelot Arms Nursing Center died Saturday evening at the center. William was born July 14, 1937, in Youngstown a son of the late Howard Marvin and Mary Catherine Everett Palmer. He graduated from Austintown Fitch High School in 1955 and was a U.S. Army Veteran. He graduated from Ohio State University with a degree in Psychology. He had lived in Columbus, working as a commercial real estate agent from 1965 until he retired in 2009 and returned to this area. He was a member of West Austintown United Methodist Church, the Realtors Association in Columbus and a former board member of the Columbus Children's Hospital. He leaves a sister, Delores Lucas of Austintown; a sister-in-law, Mavis Scheetz of Canfield; two nieces, Karan (Paul) Forestal of Stow and Tamara (Robert) with whom he resided prior to going to Camelot Arms; two nephews, Kenneth (Sally) Lucas and Brian ( Lisa) Palmer. Besides his parents, William was preceded in death by a brother, Jere Palmer; and a niece, Deborah Bates. There will be no services or calling hours. Arrangements by Lane Funeral Homes, Canfield Chapel.
