YOUNGSTOWN: Adam J. "AJ" Perry, age 84 died Friday at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center. Born November 3, 1927 in Hubbard, he was the son of Nicholas and Mary Louise (Carange) Perry, he lived most of his life in the Trumbull County area. While in the US Marine Corp, Mr. Perry served in Peking, China, he earned four accommodations. He worked for Packard Electric Plant #10, and he retired from Alcan Aluminum in 1985 where he was a foreman. He was a member of the Army-Navy Garrison #422 in Girard. He tinkered with old cars, was an avid football fan, enjoyed boating and bowling, and enjoyed his bi-annual trips to Las Vegas. Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Cecelia (Badila) whom he married on March 11, 1946; sons: Robert Perry of New Mexico, David (Bonnie) Perry of Texas, and Kenneth (Karen) Perry of Youngstown; daughter-in-law JoAnn Perry of Campbell; 17 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons: Samuel and Thomas Perry; daughter in law Janice Perry; parents; brothers: James, Lawrence, Joseph, Benjamin, Nicholas, and Anthony; sisters Rose, Mary, and Carmel. Friends will be received at the Lane Family Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel on Tuesday from 6-8PM where services will be held on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at 10:30AM. Mr. Perry's son Robert was involved in a 25, 000 miles in 25 days, motorcycle run for the Make a Wish Foundation when he was struck by a car and his ride was ended and his dream of helping the foundation wasn't realized; In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Make a Wish Foundation in care of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #3245, PO Box 164, Clovis, N.M. 88102 in honor of Robert and in memory of Mr. Perry.
