Alfred Barwick of 511 Moherman Avenue, Youngstown passed away at his residence March 9, 2002 at 6:00 a.m. from complications of pneumonia. Alfred was born November 21, 1907 in Youngstown a son of Felix and JoAnna (Maxam) Barwick. His wife Frances E. (Tesner) Barwick whom he married on May 30, 1940 and who died on May 4, 1989. He was a millworker at the former J & L Steel Corporation in Youngstown, retiring in 1965. Prior he was employed as a deliver person with the Nabisco Corporation for may years. A member of St. Casimir Catholic Church in Youngstown, where he was an usher for many years. Alfred enjoyed printing, stamp collecting and woodworking. He is survived by sons David R. and Thomas E. Barwick both of Youngstown. A daughter Mrs. Janice J. Finocchi, North Lima, brothers Mark Barwick of Hubbard and Felix Barwick of Youngstown, six grandchildren, five great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife and sisters Stella Shadley, Mary Olsabsky, Florence Cramer, Pauline Barwick, Stephanie Roumm, brothers Andy, Joseph, Bill, and Peter Barwick. Services will be Monday, March 11, at 12:00 noon at St. Casimir Catholic Church. Visiting hours will be Sunday March 19 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown chapel. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Contributions may be made to St. Casimir Catholic Church.
