Alfred "Lou" Smith

Alfred “Lou” Smith, 79, of Canfield, Ohio passed away on the evening of October 21st, 2024, surrounded by his family. He was born on March 9, 1945 to the late Harold Smith and Dorothy (Carson) Smith in Youngstown, Ohio. He went on to become a mechanic for Ohio Transportation for many years then went into car sales. Lou was a lover of classic cars, NASCAR races, the Cleveland Browns and camping. 

He married the love of his life, Sandra (Myers) Smith, on December 15th, 1966 and went on to spend over 60 years together building a life, creating memories and raising their two children. 

Lou’s memory will be carried on by his wife, his children; Michelle Smith and Alfred (Shannon) Smith Jr., his grandchildren; Rodney (Shania) Billiter, Devin (Tiesha) Telego, Miranda Smith, Derek Billiter, Zoie Smith and 12 great grandchildren. 

Friends and family may call on Thursday October 24th from 4pm-6pm at Lane Funeral Home Austintown with a service to follow.
