Warren - Alice Boorn, 86, passed away Sunday morning, August 12, 2018 at Windsor House of Champion. Alice was born on May 5, 1932 in Vernon, OH, a daughter of the late Arthur and Edna (Gilmore) Pike. She was a 1950 graduate and Valedictorian of Bristol High School. She was a seamstress for 65 years, a bank teller at Cortland Banks for 19 years, and a substitute cook at Bristol Local Schools. She loved spending time and cooking for her family, and traveling with her husband and family on 18 Princess Cruises. Alice will be deeply missed by her children, Sandy (Dominic) Cellio, Cheryl (Greg) Olney, Jeffrey Boorn, and Michelle (David) Lanzer; her grandchildren, Tammy Culver, Rebecca (Russell) Keen, Stephen (LeAnne) Olney, and Jonathan Olney; and her great-grandchildren, Keith Holzhauser, Joshua Keen, Alexis Olney,and Logan Olney. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William "Gene" Boorn, whom she married in 1950; her son, William Boorn Jr.; her great-grandson Kaden Culver; sisters, Elsie and Betty; and brother Bill. A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday August 15, 2018 at 6:00PM at Lane Family Funeral Homes Shafer Winans Chapel, located at 164 North High Street in Cortland. Friends and family may visit one hour prior from 5-6:00PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to The Windsor House of Champion: Activity Department at 200 E.
