NILES- Alice May Halliday, age 90, passed away Sunday, January 20, 2019 at CHS of Niles. Alice was born March 17, 1928 in Wheeling, West Virginia to the late Charles and Alice (Long) Grandstaff. Alice has been a Warren area resident since 1952. She was a proud homemaker, she also worked in Childcare, as well as retail sales for Rappolds Womens store and Neals Shoe store. Alice volunteered as a Grey Lady at St. Josephs and Trumbull Memorial Hospitals. Besides her parents, Alice is preceded in death by her husband James D. Halliday, her son Gary Halliday, and brother Charles Grandstaff, Jr. She is survived by her three sons, Rodney Halliday of Columbus, Trent (Lynn) Halliday of Warren, and Blane (Chris) Halliday of Baltimore, MD; three daughters, Jill (Thomas) Bomberger of Salem, May (Jeff) Craft of Madison, and Heather (Claire) Halliday of Brooklyn, New York; four grandchildren, Brian, David, Allison, and Douglas, and eight great-grandchildren. She also leaves her sister Cindy Rasmussen of Anaheim, California. Friends may call 10-11AM Saturday, January 26, 2019 at the Lane Funeral Homes, Roberts-Clark Chapel, 180 Garfield Dr. NE in Warren. Funeral services will begin at 11AM in the funeral home. Interment in Crown Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Angels for Animals.
