Alma O. Margrave, 92 of Champion Township, died Wednesday afternoon, June 5, 2019, at St. Joseph Warren Hospital. She was born November 15, 1926 in Blackpool, England a daughter of the late Jack and Elizabeth Jones Graham. She moved to Champion Township in 1948. Alma worked as a legal secretary in England and for the Spain law firm in Warren many years ago. She also had worked for the Country Classics women's clothing store in Champion. Alma had enjoyed teaching swimming with the American Red Cross. She enjoyed making crafts, traveling in their Airstream trailer with her husband, Allan, and ballroom dancing. She was an avid reader. Alma was a member of SCOPE, the Champion VIP's senior citizens, the Bazetta Senior Citizens and the Transatlantic Brides and Parents Association (TBPA). She continued to have lunch on the first Wednesday of the month with her British lady friends in the area. She is survived by two sons, Shawn G. (Audrey) Margrave of Champion and Christopher A. (Carol) Margrave of Ashtabula; one sister, Hazel S. (Peter) Joyce of Cheshire, England; two granddaughters, Tiffany (Nelson) Caron, Kristen (Laura) Margrave; three stepgrandchildren, Lisa (Ryan) Day, Donna Holmes and Ronald (Lisa) Baldwin II; two great granddaughters, Eleanor and Vivian Caron, and nine step great grandchildren, Samantha, BrookeLynn and Abigail Holmes, Ronald III, Caden and Maxton Baldwin, Haley and Regan Dieter and Lily Day. Her husband of 48 years, Allan G. Margrave, whom she married August 30, 1947 preceded her in death November 15, 1995. A private funeral service will be held at Champion Christian Church, 151 Center Street West with Pastor Ken Hopkins Jr. and Pastor Bill Carter officiating. Arrangements were entrusted to Lane Family Funeral Homes, Roberts-Clark Chapel in Warren. Memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Welfare League, 812 Youngstown-Kingsville Rd.
