Alvie Kelly

Alvie R. Kelly, 67, passed away on June 10, 2017 at St. Joseph Medical Center in Warren. Alvie was born on May 17, 1950 in Weston, West Virginia to Jess & Ilene (Cosner) Kelly. Alvie proudly served his country in the Army during the Vietnam War. After his honorable discharge, he spent his career working for Johnson Rubber. On June 1, 1974 he united in marriage to the former Pamela Welker who survives. Alvie was a diehard Pittsburgh Steelers fan, and appreciated the beauty of the American Bald Eagle. He loved to tinker and was an all-around handy man. A memorial gathering will be held on Friday June 16th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Lane Funeral Homes, Cortland Location; 164 N. High St. Besides his wife of 43 years, Alvie is survived by his daughters Deniele (Gregory) Ladich and Tonya Foley; his grandchildren Zackary Ladich, Julia Kozel, Emily Ladich, Mackenzie Kelly and Damian Foley. He is also survived by his sisters Louise (Dariel) Riffle, Annie Shearer and Pam (David) Boyles as well as many other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents.
