Ann Close - Miller

Graveside services will be held at a later in Lake Park Cemetery Chapel for Ann Close Miller, 71, of Port St. Lucy Florida, formerly of Youngstown, who passed away Tuesday morning in Port St. Lucy Medical Center. Ann was born February 4, 1939 in Sunbury PA, the daughter of the Late Willis C. Close and Margaret “Peg” Slocum Close. She was a graduate of Chaney High School class of 1956 and was a homemaker, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and daughter. Ann was a former member of the Westside Baptist Church in Youngstown. She was active in The Garden Club and The Historical Society both in Raleigh NC, before moving to Florida in 1998. Ann enjoyed traveling and traveled throughout the world with her husband Howard V. Miller, whom she married September 10, 1960. Besides her husband, Ann leaves a son Brian and his wife Lori, a grandson; Garison all of Florida, her mother Peg, one sister Judith Dahler and one brother Thomas Close and his wife Suzanne all of Austintown. Besides her father, Ann is preceded in death by two brothers; Arthur W. and Howard S. Close. Local arrangements were by the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel.
