Anna C. Detwiler

Anna C. Detwiler, 94, of Austintown, died Wednesday afternoon, January 22nd, at the Humility House Nursing Center in Austintown. 

She was born December 24, 1930 in Columbiana, a daughter of Baz and Maggie (Wilson) Wellman.

Anna was a 1948 graduate of North Lima High School and spent her adult life as a homemaker, raising and caring for her family.

She married Enos M. Detwiler on January 27, 1950. They shared 54 years of marriage and many happy memories together. He preceded her in death September 13, 2004. 

Anna was of the Methodist faith and enjoyed crafts, reading, crossword puzzles, and going to garage sales. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, whom she dearly loved. 

She is survived by four children; Mary Farr, of Warren, Peggy Detwiler, of Youngstown, Judy Detwiler, of Niles, and Dennis (Jane) Detwiler, of Mineral Ridge. She also leaves behind a sister, Dorothy Smith, of Columbiana; a brother, Lonnie (Caroline) Wellman, of West Virginia; four grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and nine step great-grandchildren. 

Besides her husband, Anna was preceded in death by a daughter, Joyce, her parents, and seven siblings.

Private funeral services will be held. 

She will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband in the Kerr Cemetery, Weathersfield Twp.
