Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 2nd at Canfield Presbyterian Church for Anne K. Christman of Canfield who passed away Tuesday morning at Park Vista Retirement Community. Mrs. Christman was born January 24, 1910 in Toledo, Ohio the daughter of Wiliam H. and Mattie (Martin) Kilcawley and moved to Youngstown in 1916. Anne graduated from The Rayen School and and Lake Erie College in Painesville. She was a Trustee of the Lake Erie College where Kilcawley Hall was named after her father and the Christman boardroom was named for Anne. She was a member of the board at The Mahoning Valley Historical Society, the Butler Museum of American Art, The Stambaugh Auditorium Board, and the Park Vista Retirement Community Board of Directors. She was also a member of the board of the Stancorp Company, the Watson Foundation, and The MillCreek Child Care Center. Anne was also a member of the Jr. Wemodaughsis Club of Canfield, The Mahoning Chapter of D.A.R., the Canfield Historical Society, and the Pillars of Stambaugh Auditorium. Anne was a member of the Board of Trustees at Canfield Presbyterian Church. Kilcawley Center at Y.S.U is named after her father and Christman Commons, also at Y.S.U. named after Anne. She leaves a cousin Jean A. McFadden of Youngstown as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Byron whom she married June 5, 1937 and passed away February 15, 1983. Memorial tributes may be sent to the donor’s favorite charity. There are no calling hours.
