A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday at the Lane Funeral Home Canfield Chapel for Arnold Alan Brooks formerly of Canfield who passed away at his home in Columbus. Arnold was born July 6, 1960 in Salem the son of Arnold and Joan (Williams) Brooks. A Canfield High School graduate of 1978, Arnold was an Army Veteran serving in the Gulf War. He attended both Youngstown State University and the Ohio State University and worked at the Cleveland Federal Reserve Bank in Columbus. Arnold was a member of the Young Authors Club in Columbus and was an avid history buff. He was also interested in fencing, scuba diving, blacksmithing, and was in the rifle club in high school. Besides his mother of Canfield, Arnold leaves his daughter Raven Summer Brooks and her mother Deb of Bucyrus as well as a sister Gail and her husband Ernest West of Lisbon and brother Gary and his wife Tonya Brooks of Canfield. Arnold also leaves three nephews: Timothy and his wife Nicci West, Bryan and Brandon Brooks as well as two nieces: Taryn and her husband Kenneth Burhanna and Nicole Brooks. Arnold was preceded in death by his father Arnold Brooks in 1999. Friends and family may call from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Monday at the funeral home.
