Barbara J. Laprocina

Barbara J. Laprocina age 90, of Sebring, passed away peacefully on December 18, 2024. Barbara was born on January 9, 1934, in Warren, Ohio. She was the daughter of Vernon and Gertrude (Jeffries) Stroup. Barbara was a 1952 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School. 

Barbara married her high school sweetheart, Peter, on August 5, 1952. Barbara retired from Packard Electric in Warren, Ohio in 1989 after 30 years of service. 

Barbara loved crocheting various items for family members, assisted living residents, and donated many hand-made crocheted afghans to homeless shelters and the needy. Barbara was happiest when crocheting while reading a good book, and spending time with her family. Barbara was a member of St. Roberts’s Catholic Church. 

Barbara is survived by her husband, Peter, 70 years. Her memories will be remembered by her husband, Peter, daughter Mrs. Linda (Jim) Bourne of Columbus, OH, grandson Adam Cross of Texas, granddaughter Chelsea Cross of Columbus, OH, daughter Ann Marie (Richard) Baldwin of Hartville, OH, and grandson Michael Baldwin of Kent, OH. 

Barbara was preceded in death by her son Mark David Laprocina, and her brothers Vernon and Bruce Stroup, her brother Don Stroup from San Clemente, CA 

Per Barbaras wishes, there will be no calling hours or services. Arrangements are entrusted to Lane Funeral Home, Roberts-Clark Chapel.
