Barbara Lee Sponaugle

Warren - Barbara Lee Sponaugle, 86, passed away peacefully Friday morning, December 20, 2024 at Clearview Lantern Suites in Champion, Ohio. 

Barbara was a loving mother and grandmother who was loved and will be dearly missed by her children, grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Known for her selfless generosity, she was also dearly loved by all whose lives she touched. 

Barbara was born on December 22, 1937 in Warren, Ohio, the daughter of Dudley and Elizabeth Jose.

 She graduated from Braceville High School in 1955 and was employed at St Joseph Hospital until her retirement in 2004. 

Barbara will be deeply missed by her loving children, David (JoAnn) Sponaugle, Scott (Eileen) Sponaugle, and Tami (Rob) Stein; grandchildren Marsha (Norm) Tanner, Chad (Jen Zap) Braham, Eric (Amber) Sponaugle, and Nicki (Jason Lawson) Williams; 12 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandson. 

Besides her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her son Jeffery Sponaugle; her brother Raymond Jose; sister Beverly Pierson; and brother-in-law Edgar Pierson.

Family and friends may visit from 1PM to 2PM on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at Lane Family Funeral Homes Roberts-Clark Chapel, located at 180 Garfield Dr. NE in Warren. 

A memorial service will follow at 2PM. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Warren Family Mission, 155 Tod Ave. NW, Warren, Ohio 44485, in Barbara’s memory.
