Barbara A. Williams

Barbara A. Williams peacefully passed away on Friday, July 19, 2024, at home with her family by her side. She was born January 16, 1933, in Warren, Ohio, the daughter of the late Willam and Mary (Lapka) Madar.

 Barb graduated from Warren G. Harding High School and Trumbull Memorial School of Nursing. She retired in 1989 after 30+ years of nursing, most of which was spent in the Emergency dept at Trumbull Memorial Hospital.

After retiring Barb enjoyed traveling with friends, golfing and sewing. She had a passion for making quilts and enjoyed making quilts for all her family and many more.

She will be greatly missed by her children Carol (Tracy) Steele, Janet (John) Onatz of Warren, James A. (Shelly) Williams of Plain Township, Ohio and Lynn (Jerry) Reed of West Hartford, Ct. and seven grandchildren Jonathan Steele, Heather Steele, Keri (Jeff) Scheid, James A. (Brittany) Williams, Emma Higginbotham and Taylor and Zach Reed. Great Grandchildren Graham, Cooper, Reid, Austin and Alessia. She is also survived by her sister Jean(Greg) Mee and brother William (Amanda) Madar. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jim, and grandson Joshua Smith.

 The family invites you to Celebrate her 91 yrs of Life with them at Tamer Win Golf Course on Tuesday, July 30th 5:00 to 7:00 PM. Mom's suitcase will at the celebration for anyone wanting to send a written message or token to a loved one. 

Family and friends are welcome on Wednesday, July 31st at All Souls Cemetery at 10 AM for a graveside service.

 In lieu of flowers, the family suggests material contributions to Patriot at Home, 986 Tibbetts Wick Rd., Girard, Ohio, or the charity of your choice.
