Bette Huffman Harris, age 94, passed away on January 22, 2025, in Warren, Ohio. Born on June 26, 1930, Bette's life was marked by her charismatic and spirited personality, which endeared her to many throughout her lifetime.
Bette briefly served in the Marines from June 1957 until February 1958, until she was honorably discharged. Her time in the service was a proud moment in her life, reflecting her dedication and spirit.
Professionally, Bette was employed at Packard Electric and later took on a role in Elkhart, Indiana, where she worked on travel trailers. Her career was characterized by hard work and a commitment to quality in all her endeavors.
In her personal life, Bette was a lover of cooking, golf, playing cards, and bridge, hobbies that she pursued with passion and joy, often sharing these interests with friends and family.
Bette is survived by her son, Jon Edward Zampedro and his wife Beth; daughter, Leanne Zampedro; grandchildren, Jennifer Jones (Joseph), Justin Zampedro (Angelica), and Cindy Fisher (Vincent); and great-grandchildren; Callie, Ayden, Joshua, Lilly-Ann, Harper, Maisyn, and Benjamin. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her grandson, Joshua.
Bette's legacy is carried forward not just in her family's memories but in the vibrant and impactful life she led. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
