Betty Jane Johnson-82 Youngstown—Private services were held at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for Betty Jane Johnson of Youngstown, who passed away late Thursday evening at her home. Betty was born February 5, 1922 in Johnstown PA, the daughter of Alvin and Eleanor (Ruth) Beam and came to the area as a child. She was a graduate of Chaney High School class of 1940 and served in the Women’s Army Auxiliary Corps during WW II. Betty was a homemaker, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her husband Thomas N. Johnson Sr. whom she married in 1944, passed away September 3, 1979. She leaves four sons; Barney of New York City, Thomas N. Jr. of Boardman, Charles of Youngstown, and Richard of Canfield, one sister Mary Mays of Youngstown, six grandchildren and twin great grandsons.
