There will be a funeral service 11 AM Monday at the Canfield United Methodist Church for Betty Jayne Stiver Bevan, who passed away Thursday at Hospice House. Betty was born September 12, 1919 in Youngstown a daughter of the late Franklin G. and Anna Maria (Prosser) Beichler. She was a keypunch operator for Republic Steel and then worked for McKelvey�s Department Store. She was a member of the Austintown Community Church and more recently of the John Knox Presbyterian Church. She was a member of the Meander Chapter of the Antique Car Club of America with her husband Ralph, and enjoyed Antique Car Tours. Betty was an excellent homemaker and loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her first husband Kenneth R. Stiver, whom she married August 21, 1942, passed away March 10, 1977. Betty is survived by her husband Ralph, whom she married May 26, 1979; her daughter Janice (Gary) Grimm of Canfield; stepson Richard (Pati) Bevan of Youngstown; and five grandchildren: Molly Grimm, Kenny Grimm, and Jeff (Leanne) Bevan all of Cincinnati and Michael Bevan and Stephen Bevan both of Youngstown. Besides her first husband and parents, Betty is preceded in death by two sisters: Olive Smith and Dorothy Gibson, and one brother: William Beichler. The family would like to thank the staff of Sterling House, Cornersburg for their dignified care and compassion. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market St., Boardman, OH 44512, in Betty�s name.
