Betty Lou (Manges) Storey, age 83, of Niles, passed away from complications of Alzheimers Disease, on Sunday, April 15, 2018. Born November 14, 1934 in Quemahoning, PA; she was the daughter of Charles W. and Bessie S. (Stern) Manges. Betty retired from Bi-Lo Market in Austintown in 1983 where she was made the first female Produce Manager for the company. She was a member of the New Hope United Methodist Church. She enjoyed bowling and collecting bears, but her real passion was caring for her family and she loved getting together for family reunions. She would be seen at Halloween, all dressed up in a costume and handing out candy from her porch to all the neighborhood children. Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Harry, whom she married on March 21, 1953; children: Deborah (Harry) Weiss, Patricia (Richard) Baker, Karen (Nick) Latiano, David Storey, and Lynda (Tom) Vosick; 12 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild; a sister Ruth Powell, as well as brothers, Charles and Jerry Manges. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Donald Manges and a sister Mary Lepire. Funeral Services will be held at the Lane Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel on Friday, April 20, 2018 at 1:00PM, where friends will be received beginning at 11:00AM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hospice of the Valley. The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff of Humility House as well as the staff of Hospice of the Valley for the care and support given to Betty and the entire family.
