Betty Lou Tura

Betty Lou Tura, 82 Betty Lou Tura, 82 of Canfield, formerly of Warren, Ohio and Peoria, Arizona went to meet our Lord on March 13, 2017. Betty Lou was born April 10, 1934 in Armstrong Township, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Frank and Mary (DeMarco) Bagaglia. She graduated from Warren Harding High School and had worked as a cashier for the former Vennitti's Market and a sales clerk for J. C. Penney's. However, her most important part of her career was taking care of children in her home for over 20 years. She was a member of the former St. Pius X Church, Warren and St. Charles Borromeo, Arizona. She loved to sew, bake and cook, especially her Italian foods. The family cherished her wedding soup, spaghetti and meatballs. Her husband, Vincent J. Tura, Sr., whom she married August 2, 1952, died June 9, 2008. She leaves her sons David G. (Bonnie) Tura of S. Lyon, Michigan, Vincent J. (Tina) Tura, Jr. of Canfield; her grandchildren, Matthew (Taylor) Engstrom, Jason Engstrom, Andrea Engstrom, Stephanie (Dan) Dunn, Jared Tura, Rachael Tura, Adam Tura, Zachary Tura, Haley Tura, Justin Tura, and Evin Tura; her great-grandchildren, Maiya Engstrom, Adrienne Engstrom, Ethan Engstrom, Emily Engstrom and Parker Dunn. Betty Lou also leaves her sister, Edith Rice of Champion and an aunt, Pauline Tomko of Warren. Besides her parents and her husband, Betty was preceded in death by her daughter, Diana J. Engstrom; a grandson, Jacob Tura; two brothers, Raymond Bagaglia and Frank Bagaglia, Jr. Friends may call Thursday, March 30th from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Lane Family Funeral Homes, 65 N. Broad Street, Canfield Chapel. A mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday at St. Mary's Church, 301 High Street, Warren, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, the family requests material tributes take the form of contributions to Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market Street, Boardman, OH 44512.
