William R. Smith, 57, passed away on Friday July 20, 2018 at OBrien Memorial Health Care. Billy Ray was born in Ellwood City, PA on March 16, 1961 to Joseph P. Smith Jr. & Nancy (Kemp) Senda and was a lifelong resident of the area. Billy Ray was a hard worker and had dedicated over 30 years of service to the Harsco Mineral Company where he was a lead laborman. On April 29, 2014 he was united in marriage to the former Amanda Clark who survives. Billy Ray was full of life and loved being the center of attention. He loved to sing and play his guitar. He was an excellent cook and known for his BBQ. He enjoyed the quiet of peace of fishing, and he was a diehard Cleveland Browns fan. Visit with his family on Saturday July 28th from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Lane Funeral Homes; Roberts-Clark Chapel where a memorials service will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. Besides his wife, Billy Ray is survived by his children Maxwell and Samantha Smith; his step-daughter Morgan Scott; step-son Logan Scott; his step-mother Jane Smith; his sister Shelby Smith and his brothers Joseph P. Smith III and Lee (Cindy) Smith and many nieces and nephews.
