Warren Blenda Faye Morrell, 86, went home to be with the Lord Monday morning on October 23, 2017 at Antonine Village in North Jackson, OH. Blenda was born on August 19, 1931 in Philippi, WV, a daughter of the late Seymore and Sylvia (Burner) Daugherty. She graduated from Barber County High School at the age of 16 in 1947. Shortly after high school, she married her husband William R. Morrell on August 19, 1949 and started their family together. She worked at Ohio Lamp after school until she retired and also owned Two Bill's Tavern in Warren. She was a member of Mineral Ridge Church of Christ. She loved to play music, played several instruments, and taught many people how to play the guitar. Blenda and Bill often listened to local musicians and supported them throughout their lives together. She also had a love for nature and enjoyed going camping with her family. She loved to write poetry and made sure that everyone who received a card received a special poem inside. While working at Ohio Lamp she bowled in many Ohio Lamp Company Leagues. She had a passion for people and genuinely cared for everyone she new. She often opened her home to anyone that needed help and always put others needs before her own. Blenda will be deeply missed by her children, Robert (Diane) Morrell of Boardman and Diane (Mike) Serbin of Lordstown; and her grandchildren, Katelynn, Bob, Megan, and Kristin Morrell, Joshua and Dustin (Amber) Serbin, and William Morrell III. Besides her parents, she joins her beloved husband, William R. Morrell, who passed away on August 15, 1997; her son William R. Morrell Jr.; her sisters, Margaret, Lillian, Josephine, Norma Jean, Juanita, and Dorothy; and her brothers, Seymour, Lloyd, and Burt. A funeral service for Blenda will be held on Friday October 27, 2017 at 11:00AM at Mineral Ridge Church of Christ. Friends and family may visit from 5-7:00PM on Thursday October 26, 2017 at Lane Family Funeral Homes Niles Chapel and one hour prior to services at church on Friday.
