Bruce L. Detre

There are no services or calling hours for Bruce L. Detre of Austintown who passed away on Saturday at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital. Bruce was born June 3, 1945 in Warren, the son of Aaron and Blanch (Cowden) Detre. A Navy veteran, he was a truck driver at Kish Landfill in Fowler, OH for twenty years, retiring in 1976. He enjoyed fishing and camping. Besides his father of Florida, Bruce leaves three children: Melissa Lipinski of Austintown, Tina Marie Cardona of Youngstown, Shannon May-Poling of Virginia and two stepchildren: Samuel Claybourne and Victoria Warner both of Niles. He also leaves a sister Sandy Givens of Indiana, a brother Robert Zamer of Cleveland, and eighteen grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, his stepfather Chester Zamer who raised him, and two grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be sent to M.C.C.D.P. for Project Safe at 550 W.
