AUSTINTOWN-Carl D. Moss, Jr., 92, passed away Friday, November 30, 2018 at Hospice House. Mr. Moss was born September 24, 1926 in Youngstown, a son of Carl D. and Sonoma M. Frank Moss, Sr. Carl was a plumber by trade and a co-founder in 1958 and former co-owner of C & V Wholesalers, retiring in 1994. He was a graduate of Jackson-Milton High School and served his country in the U.S. Army. Carl was a member and past president of the Motor Coach Association. Over the years of their life together, Carl and his wife, Jane designed and refurbished two greyhound buses to become their traveling home on wheels. He and Jane also enjoyed traveling the NASCAR Circuit, especially to the Daytona 500 in Daytona Beach, FL. Carl raised Beagles and enjoyed hunting. He was also a member of the Mahoning County Coon Hunters Club. He also built apartments and houses that he would rent. Carls wife of 67 years, the former Jane A. Ferree, whom he married June 5, 1947, died Dec. 10, 2014. Carl is survived by his children, Frank (Diane) Moss of Austintown, Carol Wolfgang of Canfield and David Moss of Austintown; his sister, Marylou (John) Godleski of Boston; his daughter-in-law, Rose Moss; his grandchildren, Danny (Jenine) Moss, Jr., Chrissy Moss, Mike (Jennifer) Moss, Tasha (Shane) Potts, Stacy Wolfgang, D.J. Moss and Jena Moss; his great grandchildren, Joshua, Logan, Kylee and Kendra Moss; many nieces and nephews; his friend and nurse, Sherry and his beloved little dogs, Mimi and Nickey. Besides his parents and wife, Carl was preceded in death by his son, Daniel C. Moss, his son-in-law, Tim Wolfgang and his brother, Victor Moss. According to Carls wishes, there are no calling hours or services. Arrangements are by the Lane Family Funeral Homes-Austintown Chapel.
