Carl Leroy James

Carl Leroy James, 80 Carl Leroy James, 80 of Niles, passed away early Tuesday morning at St. Joseph Hospital, Warren. Carl was born November 2, 1937 in Warren, a son of the late Edward R. and Clara S. (Little) James and was a lifelong area resident. Carl had worked as a janitor for the former Republic Steel/LTV/WCI for 41 years, retiring in 1998. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and doing yard work. He leaves his wife, the former Bonita Boyle, whom he married November 16, 1968; six children, Melissa James of Mineral Ridge, Gladys James of Niles, Kelly (Cheryl) Boyle of Champion, David (Tammy) Boyle of Warren, Daniel Boyle of Mineral Ridge, Joann Boyle of Warren and 10 grandchildren. Carl also leaves a brother, Albert (Martha) James of Arizona and a sister, Evelyn Pearson of Niles. Besides his parents Carl was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald James; three sisters, Carol Clendenin, Clarice Colburn, Lillian Crawford and a granddaughter, Nicole Boyle. There are no calling hours. There will be a private family memorial service at a later date. The family requests material tributes take the form of contributions to Alzheimers Association, 3695 Boardman-Canfield Rd., Suite 301, Canfield, OH 44406. Arrangements have been entrusted to Lane Family Funeral Homes, Mineral Ridge Chapel.
