Carleton E. "Sonny" Woodruff,Jr.

Carleton “Sonny” Eugene Woodruff Jr. passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family. Carleton was born on October 13, 1935 in Youngstown, son of the late Carleton E. Woodruff Sr. and Merle Miller.

 On May 2, 1953, Carleton married his beautiful bride Shirley A. Fortunato who preceded him in death.He attended South High School and was hired as a sheet metal worker through Sheet Metal Local 33 for 37 years.

 Carleton spent his time going to auctions and flea markets where he collected numerous items. He cherished spending time with his children and grandchildren.

 To carry on his memory are his children; Craig (Debbie) Woodruff of Austintown, Dean (Gloria) Woodruff of Austintown, Kathy (Ron) Krupa of Galena, Oh, and Randy (Teri) Woodruff of Powell, Oh. Sister; Merlee G. Burton of Youngstown. Carleton also leaves behind many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

 Carleton was preceded in death by his parents; son Carleton Woodruff III and sister Marion R. “Carlie” Ferris

Friends may call Friday, August 23rd at Lane Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel from 11:00 am until 11:45 am, followed by a funeral service at noon.
