Carma Vasu

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday at Old North Church, 7105 Herbert Rd., Canfield for Carma Vasu, 82 of Boardman who died Tuesday evening at Briarfield at Ashley Circle. Carma was born July 11, 1938 in Kimberly, West Virginia, a daughter of the late George and Elline (Smith) Pulliam and came to this area as a child. She graduated from The Rayen High School in 1956 and was a homemaker. Carma was a member of Old North Church. She loved to sew and was a member of a sewing guild. She also enjoyed playing cards with friends. Her husband, Larry G. Vasu, whom she married November 12, 1960, died February 15, 1997. She leaves a son, Michael L. (Jeanne) Vasu of Longmeadow, Massachusetts; a daughter, Melissa Lundy of Boardman and five grandchildren, Dan, Dana, Kathryn, Collin and Erin. Friends may call on Sunday at Lane Family Funeral Homes, 65 N. Broad Street, Canfield from 2:00 pm – 4:00 p.m. and on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at Old North Church, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Due to COVID-19, the 6-foot rule will be honored, and we ask that all guests, whose health allows, please wear a mask. For the safety of everyone, we ask that visitors not linger at the funeral home after seeing the family.
